At Montessori Learning Center, our senior preschool class sizes are limited to 25 to 28 students, with three trained Montessori teachers.

In language development:

They learn 71 phonograms [26 are the alphabet, 55 phonemes by sound]
They learn cursive which facilitates neurological connections that facilitate reading
Beginning reading begins after the alphabet is learned by sound
25 rules of the English language are taught establishing patterns in the brain for future ease of reading

Hands-On Activities Reinforce the Learning Process

There also are cultural lessons in zoology, geography, botany, history, and science, as well as math lessons through hands-on materials.

Concepts of thousands, hundreds, tens and ones
Addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication using concrete materials into the thousands
